Well said, although I am not necessarily in agreement with all of it I shall respect this wisdom.

My first ever job I got paid £2.14 an hour, feck knows how I lived on that.

I wish, my first job at a hardware store at 16 I started on 50 pounds per week (45 hours) and after 5 years and several pay rises I was on 120 pounds per week, both before tax and NI.
Wasn't long after I left they brought out minimum wage which I was really happy about <_<
