Ever been disabled on a torrent site? Then this thread is for you!

A bit off topic;
more than a year ago I was banned/disable from What because the person who invited me was accused (wrongly off course) of giving away invite in a public forum. A few people have indicated an interest in inviting me there but I turn it down because I don't really need it then.
Suppose I get an invite there will I be banned again and will the person who invite me get the boot too?

So, did the staff at what.cd, ever apologize about this?

I'm not going to flame you about it because I sort of understand.

Have you tried contacting said sites and asking to have your accounts reenabled? There have to be at least some who will understand that you made a rash decision.

I lost my internet connection becayse I moved house, I lost my accounts on vortex networks and brokenstones.

Have you tried contacting said sites and asking to have your accounts reenabled? There have to be at least some who will understand that you made a rash decision.

I will exclude the sites I asked to be disabled/removed at.

ScT - I protected a friend against an exploit supported by ScT Staff. I said something impulsive about Feeling in another channel that I shouldn't have. So now I'm IP Banned. I don't care though, sure, it's a good tracker but I still get what I need. :)

What.CD - They banned me because I had a "fight" with another site. I created a topic politely asked to be removed and everyone started to troll like there was no tomorrow. I got angry, said something back (Not half as insulting as them, though) then I actually made a thread in the forum with my apology for posting a reply that was harsh. They banned me and What.CD banned me because of that incident. I am very sorry about this because What was one of my favorite sites and I did not act that bad. I tried to be polite but that's hard when 15 people flame you... :frusty:

TehConnection - Banned me because What banned me, pretty much. Since I went around asking to be disabled on sites I did not use they saw me as a "RISK" :lol:

That's the only 3 I can think of... The other sites I asked politely to be disabled. If they were refusing to do so I gave them reason to do it, so to speak.

I'm all good with the sites I have left. Some were afraid I'd do the same there, but I never would because they have treated me fair and I respect them even if we'd get in a fight resulting in a ban. I would try to appeal, if impossible, I would leave it at that.

I did not cause troubles on the sites that were respectful enough to disable my account on request. Should you even have to fight for it? Just shows the complete lack of respect for the users. :dabs:

I would never give reason to be disabled on a torrent tracker, they've got your IP address and have scene members so you're fucked all the way :shutup:.
