I love Chicago Transit Authority. It all started going downhill when they changed their name to just Chicago (and Peter Cetera took over).
I can't think of many bands that got better after they replaced their original lead singer. Van Halen maybe but it's hard to tell as they weren't ever that good.
I'm a Dave fan. He's not a great singer by any means, but Van Halen just wasn't the same with Hagar. They did a few good tunes, but nothing special.
Dave couldn't sing to save his life but he was certainly a showman. I think also a lot of the fun both by the band and in their music was lost with him.

Well, original voices plus subtitles is the better way to watch anything ;) On a sidenote, part of why anime gets a bad rep is mainstream kiddy stuff like Naruto or One Piece, which is the medium's equivalent of Transformers movies: they go on forever, don't make you think too much, and are moneymaking machines. But there are very good series and movies with engaging stories too.
And just to clarify, the song I posted previously is actually from a visual novel (which is sort of like an anime game).
