With regard to this whole "elite" pish. It's pish. I don't want to be treated differently than anyone else, I don't think anyone should be. However I think there are certain iniquities here. Let's take the whole invites thing. The rules say that people should read other's posts, check their profile, possibly check their profile at the sites concerned. How often do you think that rule is broken, pretty much every time I suspect. However nowt is done, why, because the rule is not enforceable.
Here's what I do, I spend the vast majority of my time "off topic". Of that the vast majority is in the lounge and everyone knows the lounge is just for talking crap, so we don't spam elsewhere, good idea. There are a small number of people, say couple of dozen, tops who post in the lounge regularly and we pretty much know each other. So other people, who aren't part of the dynamic come along and think "I don't like the way he / she posts, so I'm going to put a stop to it". Why, it's what we're here for, it's what the lounge is for, you don't have to read things you don't want to, there's an ignore button. Get a fucking life.
As part of arsing about I said to someone who I have dealt with for years "I can invite you to a private tracker if you want, PM me". That's the way private trackers want us to do it, share with mates, not with strangers. If anything it's this forum which is breaking other boards rules, or at least assisting others to.
This was taken as a literal breach of a rule posted in an entirely different part of the forum. A section which I don't approve of. So it was used as part of the getting at the cheeky upstarts who just come here and arse about, out of everyone else's way.
It's really rather silly and pathetic.

First i became a staff member of a torrent site.
Then, i became a member of another site that helps users a bit like this forum, but especially made for torrent site users and staff. its called TPG.
Then couple of months ago reality and TPG staff made the title comunity rep, theres a thread in the "everything related to this board" section all about it, i cant remember it.
Google "tpg torrent" and select UK only.
