I didn't have that experience, but I did start an in-home pc repair business. I quit a few months after I started because the customers were just too painfully dumb- and I spent too much time trying to be nice and help them actually enjoy using their computers. My mistake there... :(
I have successfully fixed all pc problems I have come across, but I'm still about 0/50 for fixing the operators...
Sorry I'm late. Tardy but not modest

Hmm hard to say since when it comes to hardware knowledge, I have x86 Assembler programming experience with low-level port programming of hardware: VGA display, DMA Controller, PIC, ect.. I build my own systems but I haven't delved into building/installing custom water cooling solutions or like mods. Maybe an eight? IDK.
I'd say it's round about 6

I would say about 8-8 1/2 :)
Sprocket has now run for well over a year with no hardware or software changes...a new personal record.
In recognition of this milestone I'm upgrading myself to a 6!
It's a seven. I tried watercooling but it didn't work out as expected.
After emptying the bucket filled with water over the computer it started to make some
weird noises and finally shutdown. So I think I can't really give myself an eight.
That would be too much honour, if it's an eight it's for the effort not the final result.
Something near 8. Never tried watercooling though =|
