theres like an inch of blue border each side with no apparent reason except to satisfy a small majority of users.
i see alot of pissed of members and remember without your members/customers/audience you are nobody so listen to the people before it is too late.
also i agree with dark rule why dont u just make it 1024 etc and we can choose to view the board that way and view the site(no reason for it) in your 800x600.

i like the new changes too - the new url's are useful and they are there for whoever wants to use them. i think its a shame most feedback is about the layout/style. people are giving up their time to try and make this a better place for everyone and cater to more needs, because people complain that its going downhill and something has to be done - then when something is, all that most want to do is complain again
a couple of folk have genuine concerns here, and im sure some others are just jumping on a bandwagon. i was going to post this in the lounge thread, but i see we mods/admin are now being called 'assholes' and 'fanboys' there now so whats the point
if people want to make the place better, then why not show some support. we're all on the same side here, and its obvious a lot of work has gone in to this, so why not at least see how it works out over time, then if possible come to some kind of compromise about the layout. thats the only negative part, so lets not blow it out of all proportion
i understand the need for making this an entire "site" as opposed a "forum", and i love what youve done by incorporating the new sections on the main page, it all flows smoothly now, well appealing, and when i get time im gonna go through it all and check it all out, but its late.
i was just wondering, i dont understand the point of not having an extra, wider skin as an optional one, such that the long standing members can use the board effectively. this way guests and new people visiting our community can see how unified it all is, and how great a place it is, but us who like to read most of it would be able to do so without killin the little rolly button on the mouse.
Dont get me wrong, i love what youve done, just would be nice for an altern skin - i cant see the problem?
lol the fanboy comment was a joke. and it was because lite was supporting 7th no matter what, and getting angrier and angrier at "us".

I love the way certain people are making us out to look like a bunch of luddites opposed to all change. That simply isn't the case, I'm willing to try out these new changes...what cocerns me and A LOT of people is the size of the skin.
If you check my poll in the lounge you'll notice that most people have their res set at higher than 600 x 800, surely we can have a better skin for what is after all the MAJORITY of the board, even if it's optional.
At the moment I can't see the changes cos they're hidden behind my cursor...
