NOD32 is the best for me... + some good firewall... For example Kerio or Sygate... :D
AVG free - it's the one i've found to work the best, so I'll carry on using it.
Go for Comodo, thats the best possible firewall available, and whadya know, its FREE :DQuote:

On all the PCs I have, I use Avast Free Edition. It is free, and I've found that it does a better job than Norton and McAffe. Whenever I do spyware clean-up for people, I install Avast for them simply because I don't understand why people would pay for an anti-virus software when such a good free alternative exists.
On Mac, I don't use any anti-virus. No need, yet.

KAV or NOD32 is always a good choice
Before I started using NOD32, which was a long time ago, I used Norton. NOD32 is much better and it increased boot time by alot compared to Norton.
I used Kaspersky for a while (6 mnths) and then converted to NOD32 and love it so far. It is easy to use and is light on system resources which I like.
NOD32 i have tried them all and nothing even comes close.I like AV to stay the fuck out of my way unless they are needed and this is the best for that.Pretty small resource usage and updates every day which is a must.

fist i used antivir; that was about 5 years ago; then avast; then McAffee then kaspersky; and then i found my love; nod32, no viruses since then, no problems at all, and small resource usage;
however the new version, i think it's he 3.0, is not that good as the older one; uses too much resources and the layout is made for amateurs
I use no antivirus :P love my MBP, no virus, no spyware, no such programs installed so save a lot of system resources :)

NOD32. But not all the time. I install it every 2-3 months, fully update and do full system scan. Results are always good. Virus free. :)
At this stage of informations and good developed web browsers, with users self-consciousness, there are no reasons for OS infection. :)
Kaspersky atm. But will be switching to NOD32. (:
