just got a call from the ex misses, she was all :emo:
Did you tell her you were bedding a woman half her age.
Hungover.
wurking 6am to 6pm tomorrow, that's about 30 laptops all in all plus any base units that come in :emo:
:O
That's loike a hundered hours.
Fuck sake, what a day.
Ben puked around noon today, puked again in the car. Had him sitting on my lap when I noticed a rash in his neck. Turned out his whole wee body was covered in it. It was nearly scarlet with blisters on top. Then he vomited again.
Phoned NHS24/7 and got an appointment for the out of hours clinic. As soon as I hung up, Ben's wee ears had swollen to about twice their original size.
Phoned 999, ambulance came. They had to give him oxygen before taking him to the hospital, got oxygen again in the ambulance.
By the time we got to the hospital, most of the rash had disappeared and he was happpy as larry again. Half an hour later it flared up again.
Turns out he had an anaphalactoid shock reaction to egg.
I'm knackered.
Yikes. Does that mean he's allergic to egg?
:console:
you must have been shitting bricks when it happened! good job its not an illness or anything, better its something wot can be controlled lyke :eyebrows:
I was perfectly calm actuallly. I function well in emergency situations.
It was nasty to see though. Plus, I had to wait in the hospital for 3 hours, stinking of vomit because Ben had been sick all over me just before the ambulance arrived and I wasn't at home, so couldn't even put a different top on.
As for the egg thing; we won't know what the problem really is until he's been seen by a specialist. For now, I'm to avoid all things with egg in them.
That must have been a nightmare. Poor baby. Great you reacted immediately.
Crikey! Hope Ben is OK.
Are you going to sue your health visitor though
My Acer netbook was sent off to naziland for fixing last month.
Those pikey germans tried to steal my spotify password and I dunno wot else, got a notification that someone had tried to recover my password and stuff while that was in Germany.
When it came back it also ran slow as fuck, without any explanation, I ended up repartitioning it and (obviously) reformatting after. I half suspect they planted a trojan.
What happens at your company if you try any of that?
My father-in-law's laptop went away to be repaired and when it came back it ran as slow as fuck.
Turns out they were simply incompetent, and didn't put one of the memory sticks back in properly.
Not that that helps you or anything, I just wanted to share.
Looks like the "Live Thread" thing has been turned off, then
The ram was actually one of the first things I checked. As in checked so everything showed up right in the operating system (the thing is a right bastard to pick apart, and there's a chance of voiding my warranty if I do :dabs:).
Seems to be fine after the reformat and that, though.
I can't exaclty sue her because Ben is allergic to something.
I had a look online though and most websites seem to say it's ok to give babies the egg yolk, but not the egg white. She could have bloody mentioned that
Just came back from doc's; he's going to be referred to a paediatrician to follow this up. Have to keep Piriton on me at all time, and depending on what the outcome of this is, may have to keep anti-allergy shots on me.
Poor wee man will never be allowed to have cakes etc. And quiche. What a shame.
He might grow out of it. I was allergic to eggs when I was little but I'm fine now.
So. Our owners have backstabbed us in a new exciting way, once again. Looks like they're slowly phasing us out. They're working to replace our system with their own on yet another contract.
I guess we've had a good run :dabs:
This leaves, uh, the power plant, and maybe the railroads.
And I'm kind of not fond of the railroad people. Or the management at the power plant, for that matter.
It would be well funny if you worked in a power plant though. Homer Simpson jokes ftw!
I are just been looking at my uniform order sheet, how the cunting fuck am I supposed to know what size gloves I need?
What size hands do you have?
http://www.pricedright.co.uk/content/gloves.cfm
My hand's roughly one span wide:schnauz:
See my link or do something else.
I saw it but surprisingly don't keep a tape measure handy at the computer.
That is a surprise :O
He's got a micrometer
:glag:
can any of ewe cawks recommend a good sat nav?
I'm car shawping, like.
So far I've got a dvd head unit, now I need a car to put it in :pinch:
Get one of those dvd head units with built in MP3 and sat nav and all that.
No, they're too expensive (the head unit i've got is out of my brother's old car, so it's not costing me much).
Just steal a car with everything already in it, like wot you normally would.
Once again, snee comes up with a winning solution.:smilie4:
