I suppose roddage is what SGG said. At least that's how it started.

JP first used the term rodded. At the time, I figured it was like what I do to my mates (and get done to me) when something will be said deliberately to wind someone up - to provoke an adverse reaction. When a person bites (IRL), this is followed by a frantic hand motion by the rodder aimed at the rodded - as if reeling in a fish while fishing. On the interweb a pic of a fishing rod isused.

Contemporary FST interweb rodding is a bit more esoteric, I think.

I won't go into that as it will take some of the fun out of it (for me) :happy:
