that's what i'm hoping. i'll give this a try. i do like winamp better than wmp. but now i can also test the compatibilty with winamp and msn messenger. where u can see what other ppl are listening too on mess.

Dont think you can as winamp is aol and messanger is msn.

you can get this to work by either installing the mess patch that contains the Winamp plugin or by just installing the plugin which is available from here. :)
its called the surround edition as a play on its version number

ok people this has now officially been released. changelog is still the same and the links in the first post still work.

someone knows the difference between the leaked 5.1 and the now official 5.1?

The official is the final version, they said there were still bugs (mostly for older windows) in the leaked one.
