initially xbox said they were gonna have silver let you play on certain days, while gold is unlimited, play whenever you want. i guess they thought it would help rival sony a little bit more, since sony was completely free anyway no matter what game.
I don't really understand why they charge for Live. Its like Microsoft starting to charge for the Zone ( their internet gaming portal) I dont care anyway though, since i dont buy my games :(Quote:

silver is for downloading, and voice chat i guess..
