I see that both of you show abnormally high CPU utilization.
Haven't a clue why, just thought I'd point that out.

problem sorted,I think,resolved by removing the sata cable completly,and repositioning it,from the sata 1 slot to the sata 2 slot on the m/board and reconnectin,seems like sata cables are a bit prone to working loose,thanks to all for suggestions
That's true, the new SATA II connectors have retaining clips. I would have thought it would simply stop working though. Presumably the CPU was running high trying to sort out all the CRC errors.Quote:
