Thats about right, would be like me doing a carpentry theory test, I'd prolly fail miserably, so typical tho, everyone wants a bit of paper to say you can do something :dry:Quote:
i found the test a bit hard, but i could do the actual work no probs
Jonno
I'm sure if it was BT who trained their staff, they'd let something like that slide, but because it’s an agency :ermm: one that’s being bought out by the end of the month :ermm:
iz carpentry hard, jonno? how long does it take to learn and do they let you keep Knives and stuff? :ermm:
 Is carpentry hard, depends on how dextrous you are I guess. It's 75% common sense same as most building work really. I'm not a joiner, I can't make doors, windows etc but I can do pretty much anything a carpenter does, I spent 5 years in an ironmoungers picking up tips. 2 years building with various builders and my father (who's a carpenter) and then went on my own, many things I had never done before, having someone hand you a £1000 oak door and tell you to hang it and you never actually hung a door on your own before it's a bit scary
Go learn it man, good money if you can get the work. But learn it from a carpenter on site, not a college.
