I would hope those aren't expensive.
You are young, and we come from different places.
You might be a bit surprised, but Clocker and I both have rather extensive experience in the high-performance and custom automotive areas.
We've both built customs, restos, and done lots of racing/wrenching.
We know what works, as well as what looks good, B.
....to you, absolutely.
Those rims you pointed out are highly boring and probably expensive.
You might even think that alot of American cars are nice looking too.
I think that average one, for the most part, looks like shit.
My Lincoln, for instance, has some German styling in it. If it was "old man American Lincoln styling", I'd have looked elsewhere.
It's funny the aftermarket is always 2 years ahead of dealers. Dealers were so late with chrome wheel packages that it's ridiculous.

Then I shall henceforth be ready to defer to you as to what is "hip" and "happening".
That last is news, too; I haven't been aware of that particular phenomenon for at least...oh, 30-odd years, or so...
I do hope you'll forgive my saying so, but your Lincoln (which you've very proudly shared with us in the past) is...yours, which means that you own a car that definitely and surely pleases one person, and that is you.
Clocker and I have each done lots of work for other people, and so have good reason to conclude we have objective standards as to taste in things automotive to supplement our subjective ones as well.
Your attitude as to who possesses taste (you) and who does not (others, but especially us old farts) is more properly characterized as a defense of your ego rather than any matter of taste, which in your case leads you to make uncharitable (and entirely unnecessary) remarks about the nostalgic purchases of two-wheeled vehicles by females the rest of us object to seeing panned.
Your Lincoln is a reasonably well-appointed example of domestic iron, but that is all.
The former part of that last comes from the better, more gracious part of me; the latter comes from a much-smaller and darker place which I usually keep locked.

True, The reason i like these black ones is because I want to get a jet black paint job on the car, and tint the windows. I dunno, its gonna be a bit before i can really think about doing this.

Uh yeah whatever.
It's an opinion quite CaptainObviously.
I have a right to say a rim or motorbike looks like shit if I like (but I didn't).
Whether you've worked on cars, it makes you no more objective than anyone else who sees what people drive and simply talk to people about what they like. In other words....you ain't special bubba.
I ain't a mod nor is this a TV appearance so I won't "go with the grain" if I don't choose to do so.
