Have you tried a different monitor on the off chance that ME is actually working and the display is borked?
I know, I know.
It's the OS.
Still worth a try though.

Failing that, do you still have the icepick that MS included with each copy of ME?

lol sounds like u accidently put a magnet close to your monitor, happened to me a year ago. I had to trash my CRT because the magnet fucked up all the colors and shit.
