However why prejudge the situation. Let's just trust that people remember "innocent until proven guilty" and so forth. It is a fundamental principal of our legal system. Wouldn't want to forget that and treat people as if they had been tried and convicted, prior to any "due process".

Let's face it, locking people up without due process, torture, an inordinately high incidence of death-in-custody; it's hardly surprising that the UK government has been ignoring this.

They've had one go at regime change and look at the mess that's turned out to be, you can hardly blame them for wanting to avoid another one. :ermm:
