So winning the FA Cup with Dalgliesh's team against a second division club (as I recall) is the only thing of consequence he's ever won as a manager.
What were nufc pensing.

Indeed, he hasn't actually won anything (as a manager)
He was fourth choice for NUFC, not bad for a third rate manager.
The £5,000,000 pay-off is probably helping him get over the sacking.
That must stick in the fan's collective craw. Not as much as £8,000,000 for Boumsong, but there you go.
It's quite a good deal when you think about it that way.
£5m to get rid of pish > £8 to buy pish.
Re: I hate to see a guy sacked but...
I put a pound on Alan Shearer to be next Newcastle manager, 16/1, FTW.
Re: I hate to see a guy sacked but...
My father-in-law couldn't understand why I laughed so hard when I heard Sourness(not a typo) had joined The Toon, he was gutted when I pointed out how very very bad he was as a manager and Newcastle would be lucky to stay in the prem, this news should make him smile though, apart from the 3m payoff.
Re: I hate to see a guy sacked but...
that's good. I know him from Galatasaray SK. That will be fine and England can be shine
Re: I hate to see a guy sacked but...
2-0 win, Shearer gets that 201st goal and Dyer returns.:01:
