this type of thing would really suck for people who have case doors on the front of their pc's, and break the cd rom cuz it would jam up against it.........someone smell something burning :o :lol:

I dont know, but Im not willing to risk my dvd burner to try it :lol: But I cant imagine that doing that would be very good for a drive tho. :) They should make a little man who runs out and pushes the case door open before the drive comes out :lol:

it would close right back up. not good for the drive, but if it doesn't happen a lot, there will never be enough damage to notice. the danger would be some idiot that can't figure out what it does, and keeps running the program over and over, not knowing that his drive is going crazy.

In high school, a friend of mine wrote a program so that any time that someone typed "Corvallis" (Corvallis High School, Corvallis Mt) on any of the school computers, a particular teacher's cd drive opened up. The program was going for several months.
