Is Oink a private tracker? Do you know if registration is required?

Not only registration,but it is invite only & does not open sign ups at all ......

Yeah its tough restrictions sure do make it hard to get in, I've wanted an account there for over a year

As I think has been already mentioned, if you go to their forums ( http://forum.btmusic.org ) and ask for an invitation, you'll generally get a positive response.

On the topic of other sites like Oink... (I asked about this in another thread but didn't get a response)... does anyone know what happened to this lossless tracker? http://lossless.servehttp.com/ ... A pretty good resource I haven't been able to connect to in a few days.

I noticed that as well. I signed up there not too long ago when someone mentioned the link in the "lossless music thread" and haven't been able to get into the website in a couple of days. Hopefully it's only temporary.

Oink is musical heaven on earth.

As a few others have pointed out, I've tried a few other music tracker sites none compare to it.

Yeah oink is by far the best music site.
