While we're on the subject, does anyone have a link or know the Bios settings for an AMD Athlon 64 3300?
I've looked all over AMD's site and google and can't find default settings.
I think it should be 1.575v which it is set on, I'm just a little concerned as first time I booted it the temp went upto 78C, so I stripped it and reapplied some decent thermal paste, now it's stable at 55/57C which is ok but seems a little high while idling in bios.

I'm gonna go ahead and load the os but meanwhile if anyone could answer my question it would be much appreciated :)

Btw, where did you find an AMD Athlon 64 3300? I've never heard of that. I've always seen 3000+, 3200+, 3400+ ...

Yeah temp at idle is too high and I'm thinking it's gonna go upto maybe 80-90C when she starts running video and graphic design software, it's installing xp atm so I have to wait before I can check it. I guess first thing to put in is Everest.
