About the enclosure. I think I figured out the problem. The use of the incorrect power adaptor. The unit specifies 12V DC 1.8 A and the one we had was only 1000 mA and was a brand from a local electronic outlet, not the enclosure makers.
I tried a more adequate 12v supply but to no avail. I think the unit has been damaged by improper power.
