Just spotted this picture was taken on my local beach where I used to work standing around in rockpools talking to tourists. Prawns would come and eat the dead skin off my feet. Probably this very Prawn. Damn you prawn, I want my skin back.
How big is that, ball park.
It's kind of difficult to get a sense of scale.
About five inches max. People used to come down to the beach and collect the little detritus munchers to barbeque.
Is 5 inches wingtip to wingtip, or just the main body.
Head to tail, not including tentacles or feelers.
The wings don't count towards the length, being neatly folded under a flap in the carapace.
That's a big pron you've got there well.
Can't catch them with your pishy rod. Think you need a bigger one.
