A repair install may not be useful if it is a hardware problem, and it could be a long way round to solve what may be a minor problem.
Fair enough Lynx , as I said I have parts to swap and test ,and was just a suggestion . :)
As I said :

What command I have to type to repair?
Thx
At the Setup Screen press the Enter Key, you must be hitting the "R" key to enter the Recovery Console , that would ask for your Admin. Psw .
Some screen shots here :

This is what I want to do but the thing is that it doesnt detect a previous installed Windows. I have win xp pro.
So a few days before was working then not working anymore. Comp restarts before entering the User Logon menu . I dont have other parts to swap . My only choice will be reinstalll but since it doesnt detect my operating system I cant do anything.
So this may be a problem from the hard drive?

Oh yeah.
Run the diagnostics from your drive's manufacturer.
What kind is it?
Re: Win xp restarts all the time problem psl help
Have you used any kind of system tools before this happend like norton disk doctor ?
Soo it can be also a problem with HD or memory, maybe overheating depends what it saids on blue screen, soo can you go to safe mode ?, if not you can have problems with disk, it crashed probably or you changed RAM. If it is overheating it may cause that it restarts.

Yes, but thermal shutdown does not cause the operating system to disappear.
Dollars to donuts, he has a bad HDD.

It also could be a virus...
if you want to recover data use a Hard Drive Recovery program like spinrite or another program
probably you have to reinstall windows xp
