Did they ask you to donate to continue in the site?
I don't agree with saying "serving them" because it's the other way: they have uploaders that serve us and if we manage to seed back what we take then we don't need to donate.
I'm a member of various sites and no one ever asked me to donate.
Even with such difficult sites as Bitme where you have a 48h wait time, if you seed for a long time (months) you'll get your ratio up :)
