He wasn't too impressed but I've been promoted since.

Sweet. I've always liked the El Camino for some reason. I'd like to have one, but I've got enough money tied up in other vehicles as it is. Buy a car, not a badge. Unfortunately the rest of the planet are idiots so it depreciates quicker, but then you know that in advance.

1997 Pontiac Grand Am

2000 Hyundai Accent, 5-speed. Sure, laugh at it if you want but I get excellent gas mileage and it cost me the same brand new as most used cars cost. In the 7 years I've had it (March 07 officially) it has never failed on me once. I get from A to B with no problems. All in all, it's held up well in all weather conditions.
