i heard a rumor that you can no longer get deals like "buy one get one free" in British pubs, and also Mcdonalds won't serve me a megabucket milkshake, and kingsize Mars bars are no more. Is this true or vicious lies?

I'm back in the UK for good in 6 days...i need to be prepared. Gordon Brown surprisewas bad enough.
