You need this version of Vierual Dub to open up those mpeg file:
Virtual Dub-MPEG2
it works with virtualdub-mpeg2, i can split the movie but then i cant save the file. its a mpeg2 file but there is no option to save it like that. there is only an option to save it as avi. so what are the ways to go around?
Did you even try Paul's link? For some things there's no one-click solution. There are detailed guides there for beginners.
