Seagate makes great drives...I've had 2 for a while now and have never had any problems with them.
If you're getting that antec case, chances are you won't need to buy any more fans. They tend to come with adequate ventilation unless you're OC'ing or putting in a huge hd array, which you are not....:)
Re: Computer Buying Help (Parts)
Alright so after some more advice I was able to narrow down my list somewhat.
CPU:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 Dual Core Processor LGA775 Conroe 3.0GHZ 1333FSB 4MB Retail
http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...ufacture=Intel
-At this point in time, the quad core does seem a little overkill.
Video Card:
EVGA E-GEFORCE 8800GTS 500MHZ 640MB 1.6GHZ GDDR3 Dual DVI-I HDTV Out HDCP DIRECTX10 Video Card
http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...nufacture=eVGA
-For the extra 60 bucks, might as well go with the 640mb version instead of the 320mb.
Hard-Drive:
http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...acture=Seagate
-This 320mb drive should be more than ample. Yes I a a bit torrenter as to someones question above. However, I don't really download "that" much, and what I do I share between my computer, my 200gb external HD, and my other 2 networked comps at home. I doubt I will ever need past 200gb.
MotherBoard:
ASUS has always treated me nice in the past with their mobo's, I'm nto sure what people's opinion is on them though. I really need help on this category, not sure what defines a good mobo or that.
PSU:
Corsair CMPSU-620HX 620W ATX Triple 12V 50A 24PIN ATX Modular Power Supply 120MM Fan 2X PCI-E
http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...acture=CORSAIR
-I'm more than happy with this choice, if people think it will suffice for my setup.
Memory:
-I guess it all depends on my mobo, but that can be decided later. SOmewhere in the price range of 100-150.
Case:
Antec P180
http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...ufacture=ANTEC
-After reading lots of revies and looking at feedback on several sites (including this one) this case looks like it will do the trick. I actually changed my mind, and do like the looks of it now after seeing some closeups on Antec's Website.
Rough Tally For Now:
CPU: $330
Vid Card: $386
Hard-Drive $94
Mobo $150-200 (roughly)
PSU $165
RAM $150-200 (roughly)
Case $145
Sub-Total - - - - $1420 +/- $100
-How are computers taxes in Canada? and I might be able to get a better deal if I pay cash. Once I get my solid build which I'm close to, I'll shop it around to a few computer places as well. See what the best deal I can get is.
Re: Computer Buying Help (Parts)
So yeah all I need left on my comp is some help picking out the mobo. This here is the site I want to purchase from and the socket I need. Just need someone to help me out for a few minutes and suggest one

Thanks in advance.
