EDIT: The funny thing is when I was in my teens my IQ was about 135.
If I concentrated a bit more I'm sure I could get back up to those levels, with a bit of mind-training, like.

General knowledge is culturally specific and measures little. The most accurate tests (for what that is worth) are culturally neutral.
I did one of these tests a while back and was gnawing my own leg off with boredom by the end. I was rewarded by a gratifyingly high mark but it was scarcely enough to compensate for the tedium it put me through (it went through interminable stages and types of questions)
