I agree with all except there is no reason to get a separate app to unrar files. Mac OSX has built-in Stuff-it Expander which works on RAR files. The expander has low footprint so you can't say it's crap -- it's practically built into the OS.
Also, I think any Mac user who has used Windows before is going to want Parallels. Especially for Torrents, as no Mac client out there cuts it. It is very easy to setup and use, and might be able to *cough*magically obtain it*cough* on your usual torrent sites...

quick silver program comes in handy specially for its command+L option to copy a lot in clipboard. :D

You can run utorrent with wine and it works well if you have a macbook on a macbook.
