what is open for what? and yeah calling the guy a scammer is foul! if i had a account i put time into and the pg went down-whatever, can u not ask for help here?

The Error isn't ( email wasnt found in database )
when he tried it said a confirmation mail has been sent .
Then when he use that link in his mail it said to him Error

just wait for the staff to finish maintenance. I have an account to a tracker that was down for maintenance for 3 weeks, and they didn't disabled my account. If the site is in maintenance you simply wait for the site to be ready for access. Good luck and please next time have a little more patience with the site.

People might have been more eager to help you if your request made sense and didn't seem like bullshit. You said you had access to IRC, so why didn't you ask staff what happened to your account? You say the site was down for maintenance, but it has been up and running since you made your request. (I check waffles a few times a day). And if you only wanted help with your account problem, why request an invite before you even know what's going on with your account? It looks like you were lying about having a problem and trying to play on someone's sympathy to get an invite.
