I went into a bookshop once, they were selling Barry Ferguson's(hun captain)autobiography "Signed by the author". I asked who it was signed by. The lassie just looked at me as if I was a baffoon.

Just finished The End of Mr Y by Scarlett Johnstone and have started A Tale Etched in Blood and Hard Black Pencil by Christopher Brookmyre.

Both absolutely cracking. The latter is like revisiting one's childhood :fear:

Jeff Noon is one of my all time favorite authors. I havent read that though. I have owned a minimum of 4 copies of Vurt though. :wub:

because it is a lot funnier (albeit in a scary way) 40 years on :idunno:

I think that particular Brookmyre is a peculiarly Scottish experience.
