'incompatibility' is a major problem in crashes involving 4x4 vehicles (SUV's)
quite simply, the 4x4 can (and does in a lot of accidents) climb over the top of a normal sized car, crushing/decapitating occupants in the car
also, a 4x4 'carries' a lot more kinetic energy than a normal car at the same speed, so 'losing' this energy can be more difficult for a 4x4

People shouldn't be allowed to drive them unless they know how and have been taught by professionals. Or in my case I taught my wife to drive it so that's OK too.

also, 4x4 drivers i've encountered in traffic have a kind of "i'm bigger than you" mentality
it can get frustrating being belittled by them
