mIRC is not free, so what's free?

I need a scripter to help me now please help me now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Xchat isn't free to windows users but what is free is Chatzilla or Kvirc

Xchat is free for ALL users.

License: "Proprietary for Windows version, GNU General Public License for others"

I used the non free version for years. There's no difference except for it nags you when you start it.

Another program for IRC called Icechat
Don't use it myself personally but it's completely free. So possibly another option to consider.

KVirc. Best client.

Technically you can use mIRC for as long as you want to (without cracking nor registering it.)
The only annoying thing is that it always reminds you to register every time you launch the application, but hey, you can still use it. :)
