Was That Another Attack?

mmm, there were actually a few ppl (me included) who added the /bb after the usual url (think there was about 5 ppl on the board then ^_^)

there was no attack. The problem was one of my server admins - He did change some global mySQL settings and did deactivate the board to make sure that nobody gets mySQL errors until he is done.

The bad effect was that the deactivation did result in a restore of the old root folder settings which i changed to /bb - means that after he activated the site again the board root was not /bb

VB did copy all files from /bb to the real root folder now which means that this won't happen again.

Well that was quite interesting. I too tried to temporary Phorum.

Isn't the purpose of that place to be there in case the main board goes down?

Perhaps VB could set it to be functional so that we could at least have some communication with members when this happens again.

i think that board was shut down to stop it getting used when the main board is up.
and if it did go down then it would get activated again???

Every moderator is able to activate that phorum. So actually when the forum is down for longer times the phorum is activated.

and here i am, thinking that i was block. :lol: out of all people why me? :lol: i even went to 3 internet cafe and got the same. i almost had a heart attack. here i'm announcing that this is my new home and thank u guys, then i get this? :lol:
anyways, i'm glad we're back up now and yes, please mods reactivate the temp board when needed or at least post there an update so we'll know.
