ok, i just restarted my computer to find norton not working properly, I think Symantec found out I had a fake code and shut it down, does anyone have any other ideas for a virus scan???

Try Free AVG ANTIVIRUS or go to verifieds section on this forum and look for Norton 2003.

I've just installed AVG Antivirus and ive run a symantec security test and it cannot find a virus scan installed, ive used the EICAR test file and it works fine, do I need to worry about anything??

A symantec test from the site?Don't worry about ,just configure right your AVG,and update the virus definitions.

Ive just installed my Mcafee Virus Scan Pro Version 6.0 back on, dont feel happy wth a free virus scan or a downloaded copy anymore
