usually with rips they convert the sounds into MP3 and then use uharc

the article sharedholder linked to didn't include 7-zip, which makes has good .zip compression and it's 7z format isn't half-bad

WinRAR is awsome, i use the multi archive feature.. then i compress the compressed archive files into another file.. This actually does the maximum amount of compression for a file.
