Re: Need Tips on burning movie to DVD..
If a movie file is 700mb, is it possible to burn it on a 700mb CD-R and have it play as a dvd on a dvd player or do I need to burn it on a dvd disc?
Re: Need Tips on burning movie to DVD..
No. You can't burn your file to a CD and play as DVD!
Re: Need Tips on burning movie to DVD..
Ok I've been able to figure out how to use ImgBurn and burn Video_Ts folder into a DVD and things been working great.
I got a movie file that is 7GB in size. Normally a full dvd is about 4gb but for some reason this one is 7gb and it's not a 2 disc one. It's a one disc file size. My DVD+R is only 4.7gb. How do people fit a 7gb size into a 4.7 gb dvd?

A single layer DVD is only 4.7GB. Dual (or Double) layer (or Side) :D DVD is 9.4GB.
You can use your normal DVD driver to read all most kind of DVD. To write dual layer (DL) DVD, you need a DVD driver which support write DL. DL DVDs are also more expensive.
Re: Need Tips on burning movie to DVD..
Ok I get what you are saying.
1. I need to buy a new or different type of DVD. A blank dual layer DVD? Is that correct?
2. My DVD Driver need to be able to write dual layer DVD. How do I know if my DVD Driver which support dual layer dvd write?
Hmm wait. I think my DVD Drive can do dual layer dvd.
Its this one here: http://ixbtlabs.com/articles2/sony510-dual/

1. Yes.
2. I do not think your DVD driver support dual layer DVD. I can not see "DVD+R DL" icon, like this:
You need to buy a new one.
