id pay but 15 euros is a bit much. If it was $10 aud or $10 us id do it but thats a bit rich for an app these days...

I agree it is a little rich for apps nowadays but as a reasonably long-time contributor I think altbinz is worth every penny (and I"m not typically one to pay for software). It's updated frequently not only for bug fixes but also new features. The forum there is pretty active too.
In particular the latest update (0.31.2) is excellent, with the decoding speedup, and decoding is set to get even faster as rdl (dev) hinted that multicore decoding is also in the pipeline. Just FYI I would be wary of any "cracked" versions of v.0.30.0+ since they all have trojans in them, as this was when authentication was built in.

PS: I should add, altbinz is also completely portable so you can run it from your usb stick, or copy it to a temp folder on the pc you happen to be using at the time.
