ur vd card might survive for a couple more months, but ur cpu needs serious renovating.

I would personally go for the amd option, I would think you can get the price down below $300 with a little shopping around, or go for a faster processor. You should certainly be able to get a 2700+ processor for the same price as a 2.4GHz P4.
