Re: Kevin...
Weather was great (58F and sunny) - spent the AM in the woods chasing hunters then played around the house with the game on in the (deep) background while I loaded DeLorme Topo 8.0 (for my mapping/GPS activities) onto netty and the immaculate contraption.
'Twas lovely.

Re: Kevin...
You chased hunters?
-
Re: Kevin...
Trespassers, who are often (and now, during deer sesson, always) hunters.
-
Re: Kevin...
Did you shoot them, like they do with the deer?
-
Re: Kevin...
No, I inform them they are trespassing and escort them from the property - if they are repeat customers, they can be ticketed for the infraction.
If there is a poaching incident, things get a bit more serious.

Re: Kevin...
You should install some l33t laser shooting devices.

Re: Kevin...
I do have some lasers, but they are for aiming my surveillance cameras.
I can't even use a taser, ffs.
Actually, I haven't had an incident of note in two years, so my efforts must be having a positive effect.

Re: Kevin...
I thought you had this law in America where you can do whatever you want to someone trespassing on your property?
-
Re: Kevin...
No, not true - you have a bit more liberty if someone comes into your house (home invasion), where mal-intent is more easily assumed, but crossing a property line (even if clearly marked) is considered less serious.
That said, while hunters are expected to know where they are/are not allowed to be, many are ignorant.

Re: Kevin...
Turns out the Simpsons isn't the educational programme it pretends to be. :snooty:
