technically speaking that is not true to every incident. The most accurate way is the first option in the link i provided above. Why? because that's how Windows was designed. During the times that win2k was still in beta, among many people, we suggested this posibility to MS to include in future OS and helped creating it. If also notice, the last program on that link DELLATER is the only program i know of that uses this procedure.

when i delete the registry entry do i delete the whole inprocserver32 folder?

You can download a fix for this problem from here (Right click and save target as).
When the download is complete right click the file and choose install.
