I think it contributes to all the fakes, person has it, players it with wmp9. rewrites the header, shares it, someone else players it, not the header for that machine, makes it corrupt

That should be the directory, alter it to point to your Windows directory. After
typing that in it will uninstall.

Oh and good luck on burning with WMP. The burning capability in WMP is provided by Roxio, the same one that makes Easy Coaster Creator. :D
This method doesn't actually "uninstall" WMP. It only "hides" it from your computer. Files that were associated with the program will no longer open with WMP, but there are still WMP components installed.Quote:

i heard a really bad rumour that wehn sp3 for XP coem sout we wil be forced to use WMP for al the internet dls
I had the same problem with wmp 9 and I was told not to use it. that was the best thing I ever did . now I use nero and it works great
