It doesn't matter. You can even leave it raw. Linux will reformat it own partitions.
Just choose the correct partition and use automatic allotment or whatever it's called when you install.

Did you use md5 checksum? Maybe corrupt media or wrong selections?
Ok I installed redhat 9 and I wanted to know if I could install kazza lite or msn messenger or anything like that on it.
K-lite can be installed via WINE see the K-Lite Homepage
as for msn messenger do a search in google there is one. Its called amsn but i havent tried it yet.
forget about kazaa on linux it is rubbish.
i would look into using bittorrent just download the tarball and make sure you have the dependencies installed (python is one) and your good to go no need to install anything.
