influenza is indeed the same as the flu. It is a dangerous virus because it mutates every year. It CAN be lethal for old people, little kids and people with a very weak health.
It says in 1918 influenza killed over 600 000 people...

i've had flu for the last 3 days, hopefully i am getting over it now. it is not the flu which is annoying me it is the fact it happened over halloween when i was meant to be going to a party with loads of hot girls. fucking flu.

Influenza is caused by a virus, not bacteria. Anti-biotics only affect bacteria, so they don't work on flu.
