I updated the firmware when I first got it. That, in itself, is worth the extra, IMO. If I didn't have the Asus O!Play, I would be using the network. As it is, the Asus replaces any need for streaming (I'm too cheap to pay for Internet Radio) of files. One could go a step lower (the 700 is non-networked) but you get lesser power and features throughout. I had to scrape (well, beg the wife) to squeeze the 800 in, but I don't regret it.

I did try to find Edward Hopper's work last night, but didn't find anything that matched... I don't doubt you, though.
