The specification isn't a newbie's guide. Every bit of how BT operates at a lower level is explained there.

Wasn't there an Tutorial for all new bitt users around here ?
it explained how to maintain your ratio , what to download ..etc

Bionic also started a thread about tips for new torrenters a month or two ago, there was some good stuff in there.
