yes, i clicked on all users. is the problem i only put the file int he recycle bin and that i didnt actually delete it from there?

man. still no. maybe wmp can somehow still see it on the desktop.
How many songs you got? You can just click on the last one in all audio and hold the delete buuton (make sure you check the box- delete from wmp only)
over 2000 songs.
all that deleting could potentially delete all the track updating wmp has done right?

According to this Micro$oft article, the media library used by WMP 9 has been renamed to CurrentDatabase_59R.wmdb.
Read the article and see if it helps. ;)
thanks so much johnny B. so i could get my old library back by renaming the .bak file to its original name?
this microsoft community thing is still pissing me off though. i cant post or read any messages even though i signed up for soem Email newsgroup.
how do i chaneg its file extension to .bak?
