is there anything in these mpegs u can edit out?

The credits but it won't make a difference.

if i have a movie that is 2 big for a 700mb disk i use Virtual Dub 2 trim the credits off... that sud do it

Same here, I get rid of the credits. And if that doesn't help, I just split the movie into 2 parts.
