besides, my hd isn't the best. it's a maxtor 120 gb. i'm pretty sure they had similar

ok. good point. well, how much better is a maxtor 120 gb compared to their "top o line" display pc? certainly their hd is at least 7200 rpm. it's hard to find any hds lower than 7200 rpm nowadays
it's impossible to say with any real accuracy whether their hdd is faster or better than yours without the specs, however, if it's their top of the line drive, it should be pretty quick (either 8MB cache IDE or SCSI)Quote:
